I am a retired biomedical scientist & Associate Professor, Nuffield Department of Clinical Neuroscience, University of Oxford.

For many years I co-ran a national diagnostic laboratory responsible for the diagnosis of autoimmune neurological diseases.

Research champions are patients, carers & members of the public with a passion for health & social care research who volunteer their time to help support research.

Engaging patients in clinical research can provide the NHS with the most powerful resource, & enables the patients themselves to help direct future health decisions.

I became a PRC at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust in 2018.
