Paediatrics Research
At Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, our paediatric research portfolio has been growing since we opened our first general paediatric research study in 2015, offering children & their families the opportunity to take part in a variety of studies.
Research in children is important for many reasons, as "Research with infants, children & young people is essential to improve our understanding of childhood diseases & provide healthcare based on the best possible evidence." (RCPCH, 2016)
